Rating: - Good solid novel - but not the best.
Overall satisfying sw novel. it is a bit of a lull after Dark Journey, but it is entertaining and the cameos of Allston's other characters is fun. The book is very much more geared to a set of space battles - with very few (if any) hand to hand fights. Wedge is finally a prominent character in a NJO book which is good and different. Jaina and Kyp and Jag are handled quite well. It does feel a bit unfinished - but this is understandable - this is only part 1 of a duo. Can't wait for Stand!!

another star wars novel in the new jedi order series, and another riveting, fly by the seat of your pants ride from start to finish. This is a well written and clever piece of fiction. much much better than rebel dream. Ive read most of the EU books over the years, and this is up there with the best. Rating: - Bring on the Rebels!!
This book opens the door for the best Star Wars storylines ever. The three way battles between the New Republic, Vong and Resistance should rule. I can't wait to see how the trickster godess thing works and how the Starlance is developed (superweapons rule, about time the rebels get one!). A new start for the books.
