Editorial Review:Amazon.co.uk Review:The fourth
Pokémon feature follows the pattern set by the previous three--and falls into the same traps. The TV series depicts the modest adventures of Pokémon trainer Ash Ketcham and his friends Brock and Misty as they roam an imaginary world, fighting matches and making friends. The features add elaborate CG effects that don't mesh with the flat, drawn characters, and over-scaled threats that feel beyond Ash's abilities to resolve. Forty years ago, Sam, a young trainer, meets the 251st Pokémon, Celebi (it looks like Tinkerbell with a goldfish for a head). To escape a mean hunter, Celebi brings Sam to the present day, where they meet Ash & Company. They also meet the evil Iron Mask Marauder who's supposed to be a member of Team Rocket, but who's much nastier than the comically inept Jessie, James, and Meowth. The Marauder corrupts Celebi with a "dark ball" and forces it to create a monster out of trees, branches, etc., that is blatantly copied from the Night Walkerin
Princess Mononoke. Ash and his friends eventually save the day, the Pokémon, and the forest--but it all feels like we've been there/done that. --

I got this movie for my birthday, and I watched it about three times over. If you haven't seen the movie, then this is the story.
A young boy (who is actually a young Prof. Oak) ventures into the forest where Celebi lurks. He doesn't know this, but when a Scyther and Houndoom catches Celebi, the boy (named Sammy) saves the Celebi. It travels to the future and they meet Ash, Brock and Misty and Pikachu, but Celebi has already fled. They find the afraid Celebi in a small cave, but Sammy takes ...

Much as I am loathe to attach such a harsh label to a pokemon movie this paltry-at-best offering deserves no defence. The story line is far too predictable and bumbles along in a dull and incoherent way throughout. The concept of time travel has not at all been approached with any originality, and left me feeling irate rather than pensive. It was, in fact, so terrible I couldn't bear to let it soil my DVD shelf: as soon as the movie ended I was trying to think of who might want to take the thing ...

I am a big fan of Pokémon and I always like that they explain the legends that can only be told slightly in the games through these great animtated films.
It can be a bit short, however most of the time you don't really notice as you do get engrossed in the story and what's going on. I shant spoil it for most people but the story is very mind-boggling towards the end when you find out a little part of the story from Professor Oak and you ask yourself endless questions about time travel and ...

Ok. This movie was good, and had some nice graphics in it. But be prepared to find that this isn't exactly a thrilling movie, and far too Disney like - all a bit too cute and happy. Strange when Celebi dies, he looks a bit like a wrinkly onion.
The most shocking bit is...well the connection between the boy and professor oak (i won't spoil it for you)at the end of the film.
But still buy it, it's something for your collection and something to watch on a rainy day

I recieved this video for christmas and was DELIGHTED with it!
It's just as good, if not better, even, than the other pokemon Movies, and I recommend it to everyone.
The main character-Celebi-is adorable, the storyline is funny, intruiging and exciting (and awfully sad at some parts!)
The background music throughout is uplifting and beautiful, rounded off at the end with the hilarious "Let's Cele-B-R-A-T-E!"
If only there were a sountrack to accompany this awesome poke-flick!
I ...
