The only reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5, is that the cartridge indicator is based on a cartridge lasting 4 weeks - not on the number of litres it has filtered. So, if you use more than 5 litres of filtered water a day, you may need to change your cartridge more often. It is, however, the only jug with a cartridge life indicator that has actually worked for longer than two weeks - all others have stopped working in a week or so.
