Editorial Review:Amazon.co.uk Review:Such is the savvy and ingenuity of the team behind
Love Actually, the accompanying soundtrack knows its target demographic and seizes it by the throat. Dido, Norah Jones and Gabrielle in addition to a latter-day makeover of the all-woman anthem "Jump" performed here by Girls Aloud, make this a shrewdly chosen body of great music. In addition to this, who can forget Billy Mack's hark back to the success of
Four Weddings and a Funeral with his seasonal rendition of the Trogg's (and Wet Wet Wet's) "Christmas is all Around".
Love Actually is great fun and will undoubtably be a hit at office parties across the land; the only drawback is the conspicuous absence of Robbie Williams. --

I fell in love with this movie when it first opened in theaters and I loved all the music in it, including the score, and particularly the bit where Colin Firth proposes to Aurelia. But when I bought the CD here in the US, all it had what the popular pop stuff! (I guess they figured Americans wouldn't appreciate the beautiful instrumental music? Probably right actually.) You guys in the UK got the whole deal. It will be well worth the overseas shipping!!

What doesn't this cd have? it has love, pop, r&b, soul, rock from some of the biggest names. It has catchy songs, it comes from a great British movie. guys and girls like this kind of stuff, and it gives a fuzzy christmas kind of feeling.

I specifically bought this soundtrack for the track 'All you need is love'... which is so fabulous that I shall be walking down the aisle to it on the arm of my new husband. Its such a fun version of the beatles track. As for the rest of the album, its fab too. I loved the film and every track conjures up happy, funny and sad feelings from the movie. If you loved the film - buy it! If you're getting married - buy it!

Contrary to other reviewers, i definately think the best song on the album is Lynden David Hall's version of All you need is love, it is truly heartwarming :) I have to say i didn't think i would really love this album because there were only a few songs i knew for sure i would like but i was pleasantly surprised- it is an excellent collection of songs that suits every mood!

I really enjoyed the film Love Actually and received this album for Christmas as a present. However I found that like most soundtracks, the music is not as enjoyable when taken out of context. There are a few good songs on the album, including the Sugababes and Kelly Clarkson, but a lot of the tracks are a bit slow and sentimental. The soundtrack pales in comparison to previous Richard Curtis style -Brit flick-music such as Bridget Jones and Notting Hill. I would only recommend this soundtrack if ...
