About 18 months ago, Adobe acquired the company Syntrillion and bought in effect one of the best sound editing software products ever, the shareware product "CoolEdit". I had bought the version of CoolEdit 2000 with all awailable plugins and was troubled by the news that Adobe now owned the lot, and what was worse, had removed the nifty homepage wherefrom hints and other goodies could be found.
