I agree with the comments about static and buzzing, but my main problem is with the very poor design for the connector from the power adapter to the monitoring unit (the one you carry around). Just moving the wire will stop the power getting to the unit so you spend your time checking the monitor to make sure it is still on and working! How this wasn't designed to be more robust is beyond me. Anyway, out with this one and I'll spend a few more pounds on something of better quality.

Don't bother with this one! There was always a buzzing sound, no matter where in the house it was placed, and made it difficult to sleep with it on! Lots of people told me not to spend tons of money on a monitor, but I wish I'd splashed a bit more cash and not wasted my time on this one.

I bought this so that I would hear the doorbell in my home office when all the doors in between are closed to keep the heat in.
It does exactly what I need and the sound is nice and clear. Can't go wrong for the money.
I had expensive Tomy baby monitors when my kids were small, and for more than three times the cost I can't say that the build quality was much better really. (They did have room temperature indicators though).

we find the monitor does its job. can hear baby clearly. needs to be away from mobile phones though.night light ideal and enough to change a nappy by and check the small person! basicly you could spend alot more on something that will do the same job a bit more clearly but you get what you pay for!

DONT GET IT yes its cheep but the buzzing never stops as its our first baby its on all night even beside my bed, so i can hear her if she needed me but the buzzing wont let me sleep unless its turned down so low that i cant hear her anyway. So for that reason its not a good buy.
