Jill's second studio album and we get another album of sumptuous vocals and soulful grooves. Not only has Jill Scott one of the most soulful voices i've heard in years but she has integrity and spirit. Her studio work is excellent and Jill Scott live is magical and well worth a try if you like this. This CD is worth it for 'Golden' alone, which is an upbeat song, and 'Rasool' which has some amazing lyrics that I found very moving. Buy this album and enjoy the poetry of her lyrics and feel the soul ...

Truly beautiful.
At the recent Sugar Water festival in Brooklyn NYC, Queen Jill put together a delicious concert with fellow neo-soulsters Queen Latifah & Erykah Badu.
My fullest of respect to the other two artists who are amazing in their own rights but Jill Scott stole the show with joints from the 'Beautifully Human' album including 'Golden' which can get even the most heaviest of sleepers up and going in the morning. A more mature album than "Who is Gill Scott?" but equally as brilliant and personal. Gill shows you something of her soul with every line of every song. Her music is just so sexy isn't it?! If you love neo soul, funk, blues, jazz etc. you'll love this. I don't know anyone who has had the pleasure of hearing Gill Scott's velvety vocals, who doesn't love her.

Summer days, summer nights, put this on and just bask in the warmth of her voice. She looks as she sounds, beautiful, I recommend her first album too. Another reason to buy it is that my kids (all under 5!) love her voice and settle down when this album is played!!! Buy it, you wont be disappointed.

I'm a fairly recent convert to soul over the past few years but Jill Scott is the Queen of Soul for me, only Erykah and Angie Stone come close, I thought that this album might be let down after Who is but shouldn't have worried it's a classic, drawing on a range of influences including jazz and hiphop she is such an artist on so many levels and you can see her inspiration in the work of many of the new upcoming UK acts like Joss Stone and Toni James.
Star tracks for me are Whatever and ...
