Rating: - Lovely Wooden Box - Compact Too
I ordered this lovely wooden monopoly for my 10 year old son. He may not appreciate it now (may want to know where it plugs in / where he puts the batteries!), but I hope that in years to come he will still have this set of monopoly to show his family and it will still be in good condition.

I absolutely love the look of it. Lovely durable wooden box, with a nostalgic picture. It's also compact too as the board I think folds into 4.

I was after a themed monopoly but just couldn't make up my mind which one to get and they all seem more fancy than functual. We have a very old monopoly that dates back to the 1940's with all the original pieces but are reluctant to keep using it. So when this set popped up on the web site I thought i'd get one. The first review here is spot on. This is the only version of Monopoly to buy. It's solid, made of wood, and will last forever.

Like most board games, the original versions manufactured are the best, and it's great to see a version of a board game made to the original standards....Not a plastic bit in sight! Worth the extra 5-10 squid.

If you don't own a monopoly set this is the one to buy.

If you do own a modern monopoly set, send it down the charity shop and buy this one.

The houses and hotels are wooden, not squidgy plastic. The playing pieces are comfortingly heavy. The box is made of wood and the cards are made of card that is robust enough to actually withstand more than two games.
