Money 2005 isn't sophisticated enough to deal with tax returns. For instance, it can't handle split capital allowance pools. Work arounds are possible but they defeat the purpose of having a set of "linked accounts". The program is also confusing to use. Although I have used this software before on various version. I still feel that it lacks something. But apart from this it is a very good software Accounts program and very easy to use. - For free you can download a Pocket PC version to your PDA and synchronise in seconds. I am sometimes away from home for a month at a time and when I get home the desktop version can be updated and reconciled in a trice;

I bought MM thinking that there would be some intelligent design and well thought out structure, behind a microsoft product, allowing users to tailor it to their needs. The downloads from my accounts almost never balance and I have to manually go through all my statements to correct errant entries. Difficult to open multiple databases without backing up and logging in again. No save or save as functions. No append functions. Difficult to sort or categorise similar items at a stroke. Almost impossible ...
