This is an amazing bit of kit if you want to wirelessly link your iTunes to your stereo. Connection problems were eliminated by changing the broadcast channel so that it did not interfere with other wireless networks locally (including my own). I had the same problem with my Netgear wireless router and apparently the drop out is to do with interference if the channel number is near other networks as out of the box they default to the same channel. i hope this helps. Enjoy!

My airport express stopped working yesterday after just over 2 years of service. Reading various other reviews, I almost believe that I'm lucky it didn't stop working earlier. Disappointing and not great value for money.

My son gave one of these to me as a belated Christmas present today. I had it up and running within half an hour, although I didn't think the instructions were very clear. It works fine, as long as you don't have to many walls full of electrical cables in the way. The same goes with the wireless printing, as if you're too far away, ...

Don't be put off by comments about connectivity issues in Windows Vista networks - I have a Vista and XP home network and found the following worked for me.
1. Plug in the Airport and connect directly to your router with an ethernet cable.
2. If you have mac address filtering, log on to the router, switch it off and search for attached devices. Add the Airport to the allowed device list and turn filtering back on.
3. Disconnect from router - should now have a green light
