"Celtic Tiger" is an excellent performance but I feel nothing compares to the first time we saw Flatley electrify us and astound us in "RiverDance". Then Irish dancing on a large scale was novel, new, exciting and fresh. I'm still amazed by the collective synchronicity and fast footwork that sets the stage alight but dare I say Irish dancing is losing its lustre and while there is a talent there is an element of hmmm we've seen this what's new??

I was very disappointed with the choreography and found most of the dvd rather boring. I particularly didn't like the political scenes. The backgrounds were too colourful to show off the dresses to their full glamour and more thought should have gone into this. I was really looking forward to watching Celtic Tiger and to console myself put Feet of Flames on again, which I thoroughly enjoyed!!

Although a little slow to get going and with some rather controversial sets in the first half, the show exploded into life with visually stunning sets and great dance routines. A little different from previous Flattley shows but still spectacular viewing, and the penultimate rock/tap set was brilliant.

I cannot believe that I was actually a bit disappointed in this DVD Michael. I was completely blown away by Riverdance, Lord of the Dance and feet of Flames which all come across as Irish Dance and Music Shows. While the music in Celtic Tiger sounds very Irish throughout, the dancing drifts away quite often from that style. I was really looking for a show that celebrated Irish dance in Michael's usually exciting way...lots of synchronised routines! There was too much ballet and gymnastics for me ... Read More
