The Canon ink cartridges work fine - but why, oh why are they so expensive? Amazon's price is competitive but this review is about the basic fact that Canon are having a laugh!!

This item was sent as a loose cartridge and not in Canon packaging so suspect it was a refill. This has not happened before.

I have just used this cartidge and my printer tells me it's not a genuine Canon cartridge and using this will invalidate any claim I have with Canon - I always make sure I buy genuine products and am rather disappointed.

As a photographer, image quality is paramount. These cartridges teamed with Canon paper reall do give superb print quality (dependent on you printer model). In my opinion and experience one has to buy genuine Canon original cartridges (and paper for photos) to get the best quality consistency and reliability. They're well made with minimal packaging and in-printer functions for testing, cleaning and aligning all work seemlessly.
