I've had this machine for several months and in my opinion it produces a very good shot of espresso.

Having worked as a barista in New Zealand (where, perhaps surprisingly, the standard of coffee making is amongst the best in the world), I hope I have a good idea of what to look for. The most important aspect is the speed with which the shot is delivered and the crema. On both these aspects, with the right grind of coffee, the Krups K2 is excellent.

Absolutely Brilliant.

After getting hooked on various other methods of making coffee i decided it was time to get a proper machine and this is has ticked everyone of my boxes! I'm already looking forward to making another coffee.

Makes espresso's with a perfect and wonderful Crema everytime (providing you do as the manual says) and the cappucino frother is great also.

I cannot emphasise enough how disappointed I was by this product. I bought three machines from two retailers, and each time it didn't work properly: the water didn't go through; the machine leaked; it was far too noisy; it burnt the coffee grains. It is not that I couldn't use the machines properly - both companies accepted returns, and one retailer tested and and agreed the machine was broken - it is simply the case that the machine is of particularly poor quality. I'll never buy Krups again.

Had one of these for a couple of months now and use it most days. It's very good, producing good hot coffee and frothed milk (Coop organic milk works best for me). I've had no problems with leaks described elsewhere. The only points to watch are that the frother is very noisy sometimes (other days it's fine) and also that there is a tiny pin-hole in the lower end of a short hollow plastic tube in the top of the rubber frother moulding. I bought this espresso maker recently to replace an ageing Russell Hobbs that I inherited from my Mum. I found it a good buy for the price. As stated previously even on the first cup (after two cleaning run throughs as per manual) it produced a lovely rich crema.
