I have been using the 2000 version of Office for the last 8 years, and on seeing the more 3D interface of this version I decided to gamble on Office Professional 2007. I use Office primarily for creating databases on Access, but on occasion I use Excel, Word & Powerpoint too.
Almost all of the reviews given here on Amazon comment on a worse display, interface or a more crippling ability to convert from an old form of Office. I don't know about these facets, but what I can say is that ...

It's always sound commercial sense to shoot yourself in the foot by alientaing your core customers. I'm a self confessed early adopter, so I knew this would be a challenge but after many months I've given up and moved to Open Office!

I like this version. A real pain in the butt when transferring between older versions of the Office packages - as you have to manually save it in compatibility mode or it is unreadable. But other than ...

No stars. I can only repeat what others have said about the inaccessibility and inflexibility of the command menus. A totally unnecessary revision and a complete waste of money. It is now uninstalled from my computer. Don't buy this awful product - stay with Office 2003 or try OpenOffice which is free.
