We have had this kettle for nearly two years and it is as close to perfect as makes no difference. It is easy to handle, sits well on its (360 degree) base, fills quickly through both the spout and (faster) the flip lid which is easily thumb operated. It has a novelty blue light as it boils which is not obtrusive and has an optional musical note when it boils (can be switched off via the base). I really like this kettle. It's fairly quiet when boiling and I like the design. The on/off switch feels a little flimsy but on the whole, for the price, I think it's a good buy. It does have a strange whistle when it's boiled but the kids love it!!

This kettle - unlike our previous one - is delightfully light and so QUIET. Easy to fill via the spout/easy opening lid and - best of all - a facility for heating the water to the right temperature for making coffee. Shame about the silly whistle when it's boiled but not too intrusive.

We recently purchased this kettle through Amazon and have been very happy with it. It pours very well, boils/heats quickly and has a funky blue lit panel where you can see the water boiling. The outer casing is plastic and so will not burn fingers when hot. Its easy to operate and relatively lightweight (compared to a previous Brita filter kettle which was awful). It has a funny little tinkling bell sound when the water is ready but after a few weeks, I don't really notice it any more. Highly recommended.

Does all that it says on the box and looks nice too. Get one. You will not be disappointed
