Having been a user of the Brita Classic jug water filter system for many years there is no doubt that the Brita tap filter cartridge is much better. We live in a hard water area and there is very little scale in the kettle after 3 months. Using the jug system we had scale after 3 weeks. If no filter is used we get bad scale in the kettle after one or two weeks. As the other reviewer states there is no skin on tea or coffee when using the filter. I'm on my third filter now. I was skeptical of the efficacy when we bought the tap (Brita Titanium) but noticed an immediate change -- no skin EVER forms on the tea, no matter how long it sits in the teapot. Given that we have restricted space under the sink, I was also worried about whether it would be easy to change cartridges. It is if one reads the directions. Does the water taste better?
