One of the first things we experience on this wonderful DVD is Katherine Jenkins' sense of humour, natural warmth, and un-diva-ish personality, which shine through the whole performance. And talk about pride in being Welsh! :-) Good for her! This DVD is a treat from beginning to end. Wonderful picture quality; super sound; and then there are Katherine Jenkins, Juan Diego Flórez, Serendipity, and the National Symphony Orchestra, all giving of their best. Fantastic!

The venue of course is Wales, Margam Park, and this 75 minute edition of Katherine's homecoming nicely promotes her Rejoice album which was also released in 2007.
The songs are a mix of Rejoice hits plus concert favourites, and Katherine provides plenty of audience chat, and of course those giggles, to make this a comfortably familiar and entertaining experience. Good sound, plenty of camera angles, a few extras (four extra songs recorded previously) make this an excellent KJ experience.

A previous reviewer had doubts regarding the picture quality, and I think he is right. Perhaps it is due to the fact that the TV set has to do an NTSC to PAL conversion, and something is lost in the conversion process.
Why have the makers not given us a PAL version? Nevertheless there is much to enjoy on this DVD. T Powell

A beautiful performance, but (in my opinion and based on results from my DVD player) the picture quality is not as good as the original TV transmission, and lacks clarity. Perhaps this is because the DVD has been issued in NTSC format instead of PAL. The performance was recorded in the UK (Margam Park in Wales) so why use NTSC when our own PAL system could have produced better quality pictures? Perhaps the producers could issue a second edition in PAL!

I agree with the two previous reviews. Katherine is a class apart from anything "Singing Wales" can offer, has a good sense of humor and is a pleasing personality. The first DVD "Live at Llangollen" was a joy to watch. "Katherine in the Park" is even more enjoyable as well are the extras. Having lived in North Wales, does not mean I am Welsh, neither I wished I was Welsh, but I like the country and the people. Do I have to say more......
