I've listened to this drivel - the record and all the hyped-up reviews of Duffy - and finally I've had enough. It's rubbish. 'You got me beggin', you got me beggin', you got me beggin' ad nauseum. Even dance songs can have good lyrics, it has happened. And enough already of these affected warbling or bellowing, sinus-afflicted girls (Adele's another...) I'm not hearing anything great here. Unless you have been living under a stone recently, or Basingstoke, you can't have failed to notice the hype, hyperbole and Number 1 album and single from Aimee Anne Duffy.
The latest in the line of post-Winehouses, someone up there certainly likes her. I mean, come on, three appearances on Later with Jools Holland prior to her debut album coming out!

This is the best single I`ve heard in absolute ages. It beats everything possible on my account! I know it`s only March but I`ll vote for it as the best single of 2008! So brilliant. I hear it on the radio at work and it really livens me up even when I`m feeling done for! It`s got that something, so good. Again - THE BEST SINGLE. Duffy - we love your music.
