Everyone comments on this kettle when they come round. It looks great and does what it's supposed to. I'm not sure how environmentally friendly it is with its lights (but I switch it off at the plug when not in use) and it's difficult to tell exactly how many "cups" you are putting in as the water has to go through the filter area before you get to see it in the kettle - but you soon learn! This kettle would look good in any kitchen. I like the way the internal lighting changes colour too! The kettle boils in no time at all leaving no scum or film! Although expensive, it is well worth the extra in every way. A wonderful item indeed

I had read some reviews saying that you can't taste the difference and the lid is stiff and is slow to boil. All I can say is I live in a very hard water area in the south of the uk and my coffee wasn't scummy, I didn't have those rings around my mug when you leave a bit of coffee in it, and best of all my teeth didn't have that film over them.
