My 2yo daughter was bought one of these as an early Xmas present.
I just don't get the incredible overwhelmingly-positive reviews that this thing has received. I mean, I know elmo is somewhat more ingrained in to US culture than that in the UK but overall, the toy is a) expensive and b) of limited appeal. I must say that I am not easily impressed but Elmo is absolutely the best toy ever I am 46 years of age and have to keep reminding myself that this little guy is not real.

I have never been so impressed. Looked at Elmo in the shop but it doesnt do him justice. He laughs, tell stories and jokes, dances, stands up and sits down on his very own stool. My 18 month old daughter is facinated by him (I am too). BEST TOY EVER!!!

We bought this for our son's 2nd Birthday and he thinks it's brill. He laugh's and talks to elmo as if he is real. Our eldest son also thinks it is very funny. Just a shame he only tells two stories! He does sing and dance which is also great, but the way he tells stories is the best.
