I would like to thank all the people who recommended this model on here. I debated whether to get the hard drive version, and don't usually go for the cheapest model available, but in this case there seemed no point in paying for bits you don't need. I think you have to carefully consider what you want this machine to do. For me, all I am going to use is the internet surfing, email, instant messaging and photo storage. Bought the Aspire One A110 for the wife for Christmas. All worked fine for 3 days, then suddenly it wouldn't connect to the wireless network as it had previously. The little icon at the bottom of the screen has disappeared, and if you clicked on the Network Center icon nothing would happen.

Lovely looking netbook, quality build and looking at the specs and times everything seems OK. I bought two for my daughters at Christmas and they loved them.........Until that was they went on messenger and it had a protocol issue and wouldn't work. I went on Acer's site which is completely useless as is all the info that comes with the 'one'. Went on the forums which said to update the software, which I did, but that kept failing(on both). Eventually reinstalled linpus from a USB drive and then updated ...

A heed of warning to those with intentions of installing XP.
Acer distributed this notebook with a less than quality SSD. However it was distributed with Linux which is fine however if you try installing XP i would recommend against it.
The machine will run dreadfully slow and take 2 mins in comparison to 10seconds installating say, mozilla firefox.
Partially down to the way windows os runs (even after tweaks) this still runs slow due to the low grade SSD.
