- Massively multiplayer: Up to 60 people can play online in giant-sized battles in which gamers will be organized into smaller sqauds to focus on specific tasks to win the overall battle.
- Team rewards: Do well in the multiplayer and earn battle points to boost your soldier’s strength, gain score multipliers, and acquire personal shields and other special bonus items.
About the Developer: Insomniac Games Californian developer Insomniac created the first three Spyro the Dragon games on the PSone and the Ratchet & Clank series on PS2 and PS3. Resistance 2 is the latest shooter following Disruptor and Resistance 1 from the studio.

Resistance 2 is not a bad game, it is, sadly not a good game either.
Resistance 2 shines quite well initially, picking up directly from where the previous game drops you off you end up in a chaotic Chimera attack on the base you were being taken to have been captured by a black-ops squad staggering around in the English countryside. Ive just completed the single player Story to this game and i can say nothing bad about it! To that extent im actually starting all over again on aharder difficuly i enjoyed it that much!
The game is a fantastic sequel to the original resistance: fall of man and early PS3 title that brought to life the story of Nathan Hale! Resistance 2 has been created as a follow on, its story is well written the game play is smooth and easy controls make it great fun to play!

The original was a crushingly average launch title, so little was expected from the seemingly rushed follow up. Yet Resistance 2 is superb, and one of the best shooters of 2008.
The opening begins fairly sombre, with protagonist Nathan Hale picked up by a mysterious squad, who intend to run tests on the virus he is infected with. I have been waiting for months for this to come out so I could whittle away a few hours with friends in full campaign co-op mode, a la Resistance FOM. Lo and behold there's no option for this, just the usual online offering which of course requires more than one PS3 if you want to play with a friend. They try to throw in an offline 2 man co-op which is basically a set of 8 maps to complete but not the full campaign. Don't waste your money on the game if this is your main reason for buying it (which mine was). ... Read More

i have now finished the game and played both the 8 player co op and multiplayer mode. so time to list what was good and what was bad for me:
good parts
1. expansive maps - ive gotta say the levels are quite expansive, not so much in room to move around but more distance to end objective.
