It does what it says on the tin! The chips are wonderful. You can do all sorts of food in it. It trades on the 'only one spoonful of oil' appeal to weight-watchers but that's largely a myth. I don't find the noise irritating.
The bad points ... the alarm for the end of cooking is unbelievably quiet. You can barely hear it if stood next to it. The machine continues cooking beyond the timer ... a nasty and inherently dangerous trait. If they sorted out the timer I'd add a couple of stars.

I was doubtful when I first saw this, but having spent nearly a year using it at least once a week I wouldn't be without this now. We mainly use it for chips/wedges (adding spices) and roast potatoes (with onions or carrots and parsnips). Everything is turned and cooked evenly.
On the first one, we snapped one of the clips on the lid so got it replaced and are a bit more careful now. Despite this one weakness, I still highly recommend this to my friends.

Had two now, found food to be excellent potatoes, vegatables, meat in all forms, but will not buy another one due to them both breaking on the catches for the lid, same fault both times!!!!!!!!

This item is awful, it is incredibly dangerous. It was featured on BBC's watchdog on Monday 3rd Novemeber and TEFAL have confirmed that over 200 items have set on fire - mine being one of them. This is a dangerous product. DO NOT BUY IT.
